One of my shopping pet peeves is spending a lot of money on an item that I won’t use very often, won’t wear out of the house, or will only wear for a short period of time. For these reasons, I’m always on the lookout for affordable workout gear; why spend a fortune when you’re just going to sweat in it? When I found out that Old Navy recently launched a new collection of activewear with pieces starting at $16.50, I wanted to run, jump, skip, and push-up for joy.
The Active by Old Navy line is made out of cotton, spandex, and compression fabrics that are both comfortable and breathable . Made for men and women, the pieces are tag-free, machine washable, have flat lock seams to prevent chafing, and can be mixed and matched to create different looks.
I was excited to see that many of the pieces include flat built in zipper pockets and reflective fabric. The pockets are big enough for an MP3 player, keys, money, or identification, and the reflective fabric will keep you safe and stylish at the same time.
Active is available in Old Navy stores across Canada now and can also be purchased online. For better or worse, the “I don’t have anything to wear” excuse can’t get you out of going to the gym anymore.
