With less than 50 days until 2012, the holiday season is fast approaching. Although Vancouver hasn’t seen its first snowfall yet, it received 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a leaping…well, you know the rest.
The Vancouver Holt Renfrew windows have been transformed into a winter wonderland that depict the famous 12 Days of Christmas. The six windows that surround the store contain all 12 gifts from the famous song, with a bit of Holts charm sprinkled in.

To add a creative spin on the classic holiday jingle, the Holt Renfrew visual team created scenes that combine a number of the gifts. Each window depicts a scene full of holiday enchantment, and feature both contemporary and designer items from the store. A number of the items used in the windows are featured in the Holt Renfrew Gift Guide, which offers gift ideas organized by price and category.
But the magic of the holidays isn’t restricted to the perimeter of the store. The Holts atrium is adorned with a seven-foot tree ornament, and different areas of the store have been invaded by drummers, milk maids, and other holiday characters.

Among the holiday cheer are winter fashion trends: chunky knits, structured coats, silky and shimmering tops, textured separates, and pops of holiday colour.

As December creeps closer, Holt Renfrew will be hosting a number of holiday events in the store, which will be sure to get attendees in the holiday spirit. There’s nothing better than a magenta bag under the tree this December, except maybe a really big magenta bag. Hint, hint.
