One of the things that I love most about shopping at thrift stores is the excitement that accompanies a discovery. Your next purchase could be just a few hangers away and no matter what it is, you’ll likely get it for a great price.
Today’s thrift store score is a discovery that I found at Value Village in Richmond, BC. While shopping for accessories, I spotted this vintage cognac leather purse from two isles over. I instantly fell in love with the colour of the leather and was even more smitten with it when I realized it was vintage Liz Claiborne. As with most vintage fashion, the real beauty is in the details: my $20 thrift store score features gold hardware, cinched corners, and thick leather straps.
Another new discovery that that I’m wearing is Le Cheap C’est Chic, a company that offers seasonal, trendy clothing under $50. Attend (or host) a shopping party or purchase directly from their website to get instant access to chic and cheap closet staples. To get even more out of my wardrobe, I chose items that are versatile; both my summer infinity scarf ($22) and my jersey top ($28) can be worn well into fall.
