For the average shoe-aholic, purchasing a pair of designer heels isn’t a decision that’s taken lightly; a new pair of shoes fresh off the runway can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. But these rules don’t apply if you’re shopping ALDO’s fashion week collaboration program, ALDO RISE. The program was started to ensure that fashion designers have the ability to create the footwear they envision for their collections (and customers have the opportunity to wear it).
October 2013 will mark the launch of the fourth PREEN x ALDO RISE collaboration, which was showcased at London Fashion Week in Preen’s Fall/Winter 2013 runway collection. Preen’s London-based designers, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, drew inspiration from Derek Jarmon’s post-apocalyptic cult film Jubilee. The collection is composed of three key footwear styles with varying textures and colours: an ankle-strap pump, a triple-buckle shootie, and an ankle boot.
PREEN x ALDO RISE FW13 will be available at select ALDO stores worldwide and online and retail from $160 to $230 CAD.
