Banana Republic’s Anna Karenina Collection is in stores now, complete with faux fur embellishments, a sprinkle of sparkle, and a plethora of black. The collection is inspired by the classic novel Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, which was recently adapted into a movie starring Keira Knightley, set to hit theaters mid-November 2012.
Even though the collection is inspired by 19th-century Russian high-society, you won’t find any pieces that are too “costumey”. Modern takes on 19th century fashion make up the collection: lace accents, beaded clutches, feather hair accessories, romantic capes, and costume jewelry.
The limited edition capsule collection consist of 20 pieces for men and 56 pieces for women, and is a joint project between Banana Republic and the film’s costume designer, Jacqueline Durran.
